Mountain Management Services is a management service organization (MSO) formed in 1994 to offer physicians an opportunity to focus on patient care by outsourcing the day-to-day responsibilities of a practice. Our purpose is to provide assistance, technical support, financial management and other clinical and administrative functions in order to facilitate the efficient and competitive provision of health care services within our community.

We provide complete and partial management functions to over 150 primary care physicians, specialists and nurse practitioners in offices in the greater Chattanooga area including Spring City, TN and LaFayette, GA. We also provide corporate health programs to several locally based corporations include screenings and health risk assessments.

Wellness First  - Eastgate Towncenter Chattanooga Tennessee

At Wellness First, our approach to Pain Management includes a highly trained staff from a variety of specialties who work with the patient to develop an individualized program to decrease both the physical and emotional suffering that comes with chronic pain. When the cause of the pain cannot be eliminated, the goal of treatment becomes relieving suffering and helping return the patient to a high quality of life.

We encourage patients to view pain management as a toolbox. Just as you can’t build a house with just a hammer, you can’t achieve effective pain management with prescription medication alone. Even with the additional “tools” of injection therapy, surgery or physical therapy, pain patients will frequently find that their toolbox is woefully empty. The role of Wellness First Chattanooga is to help the patients fill those toolboxes with a variety of research-based treatments, skills, education, and more. This approach helps patients to more effectively manage their pain, increase functioning at work and at home, and improve health and quality of life. Some of the “tools” we offer include:

  • Education about pain, pain medications, alternative treatments, general health issues such as stress management, nutrition, exercise, and more
  • Teaching a skills-based approach to help patients learn ways to better manage their pain.

Specific interventions offered by Wellness First Chattanooga include:

  • Massage
  • Group and Individual Therapy
  • Therapeutic Touch/Reiki
  • Smoking Cessation
  • Yoga/Gentle Stretching
  • Nutritional Counseling
  • Nutritional Supplements

All of the above (with the exception of the supplements, which we sell at our cost) are included at no cost during patients’ monthly visit. We encourage patients to participate in these therapies to receive maximum pain relief.
